From 1st of March 2026, a valid, in-date Free Travel Public Services Card (PSC) will be required to avail of free travel on all Bus Éireann operated services, including Expressway.
After a period of 1 month’s grace, from 1st of April 2026 onwards, expired Free Travel PSCs and Free Travel Paper Passes will no longer be accepted for travel and customers will be charged the appropriate full fare for the journey undertaken.
Buus Éireann and Age Friendly Cork County are urging all Free Travel customers to check their Free Travel PSC and ensure it is in-date.
➡️ If your Free Travel PSC has expired, or if you currently travel using a Paper Pass, you can renew or apply for a new Public Services Card online through www.MyWelfare,ie or by visiting your local PSC Centre.
