Count 9. I'm out and my votes are now being distributed.
I want to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who voted for me. Every single number one was a gift of confidence and hope.
To my amazing canvassing team who came out day after day after day, in rain and shine. Your belief in me is a blessing. I can't thank you all enough for your selfless effort, your solidarity, and your friendship.
While I'll not be returning as a councillor, I will remain a community activist.
I will not stop.
I will continue to work towards making Drogheda an Autism Friendly Town, where neurodiversity is understood and our town is accessible to everyone's needs.
I'll not stop working in children's sports and especially championing girls' participation in sport.
I will continue to work hard to direct Drogheda Homeless Aid in this vital work so that the most vulnerable in our town can have not only shelter, but hope too.
I wish all of the councillors, whoever they may be (none have yet been elected) the very best and I will watch your work with interest.
If you were in touch with regard to housing issues, maintenance, drains, roads, community facilities or any number of the hundreds of people I have been advocating for as a councillor, please get in touch with my colleague Ged Nash TD as his office will be well placed to continue to assist you.
I'll not stop until Drogheda is a town that works for all.
