Its our first ever "Trails and Tides Adventure Weekend"

From today Friday 29th May until Monday 1st June, we have lined up a series of adventures in Drogheda and East Meath. We will have sound bath sessions, guided kayaking and paddleboarding excursions, history tours, Nordic walking and guided walking tours-all led by our expert guides and suitable for beginners.

History & Heritage Walk n Talk- Wednesday 27th May 7:30pm.

Community Historian Brendan Matthews will present the next History & Heritage Walk n Talk this Wednesday evening, May27th starting at St. Mary`s Church in James Street in Drogheda at 7.30pm. Brendan will speak about the Chapel of St. Nicholas, the town jail, castle of comfort and the hospital of St. James that once stood in the area of the Bullring and James`s St.

Free to attend with donations for the further research and presentation of a living-history experience.

We are all so looking forward to the June Bank Holiday weekend, as we host our first "Trails and Tides" adventure weekend from 29th May to 1st June. And it looks like the weather will be on our side ☀😎

This weekend festival is the perfect chance to try a new activity as our events are all beginner friendly and will let you explore Drogheda and East Meath like never before, all led by our expert guides 🚣‍♀️🥾

Join us for paddleboarding with Four Shore Adventures, The Origins of Laytown and Bettystown with Community Historian Brendan Matthews a scenic Nordic Walk with Boyne Nordic Walks or a restful Sound Bath session with and so much more.

🚣📢Second date added!

We have added a second date for our Sacred Currents kayaking experience in partnership with Boyne Voyage and Mythical Ireland . We cannot believe the enthusiasm for this new tour, thank you all so much. While David leads us in the kayaking tour, Anthony will regale ancient myths and legends as we weave through the landscape.

We now have a second tour on Sunday 31st May as part of our "Trails and Tides Adventure Weekend". No prior kayaking experience is necessary — just a sense of curiosity and a willingness to immerse yourself in the sacred currents of the Boyne.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and Community Historian Brendan Matthews last Wednesday as we continue the summer Walk N Talk series. With the evenings getting more pleasant, we are excited to bring you more history walks throughout the summer.

What a fantastic walk we had this weekend doing the Carlingford Lough Loop. A massive thank you to all who came along and of course to Dusty and Boyne Valley Walking for leading the tour.

We are so incredibly lucky to have such stunning coastlines and scenic views dotted all around Co Louth. We are already looking forward to planning our next tour.

If you have ever been curious about Nordic walking technique, this one is for you.

As part of the upcoming "Trails and Tides" adventure weekend, Boyne Nordic Walks leader Martina is hosting a Ramparts to Oldbridge walk, starting with a short lesson on how to use the Nordic poles and the special technique that turns this walk into a workout in a walk.

After a short refreshment from our rucksacks we will return to Drogheda along the Boyne, offering some stunning views on the way back.

Seeking some zen before the busy summer?

Our upcoming "Trails and Tides" weekend is not just about adventuring in the outdoors, its also about reconnecting with ourselves and restoring balance so that we can take on the world!

We cannot contain our excitement about this one!

Boyne Valley Trails are collaborating with Four Shore Adventures as part of the upcoming "Trails and Tides" adventure weekend where we will be bringing you a Guided Paddleboard Experience led by the amazing Max on Friday 29th May. This 2-hour adventure will take you along the River Nanny for some incredible views.

Suitable for families and beginners, all equipment will be provided. Tickets at the link in our bio!

Our next History & Heritage Walk n Talk with Community Historian Brendan Matthews takes place on Wednesday May 13th.

Beginning at 7:30pm at Laurence's Gate and step back into a guided walk through Drogheda’s historic weaving district—Cord Lane, Oulster Lane & surrounding streets—home to 18th-century hand-loom weavers.

The tour takes in Scarlet St., Sandiford Alley and the old Crawleys Court before descending down the `old-steps` from the Cord Lane and finishing at Steampacket/Merchants Quay area, launch of the first Steam Ship from Drogheda in 1826.

Free event, donations if desired for the further research and presentation of a 'living history experience`.
