IRSP STATEMENT - RELEASE SHEA REYNOLDS

The IRSP are calling on political representatives to demand the immediate release of Irish Republican prisoner Shea Reynolds, who is now entering his seventh year on remand in Maghaberry Gaol without a single conviction.

Shea has spent seven years imprisoned without trial, a clear case of internment by remand, a tactic long used by the British justice system in Ireland to silence political dissent under a legal façade. Despite charges being laid, neither the PSNI, the Public Prosecution Service, nor MI5 have brought the case to trial, nor do they appear to intend to.

We have to ask: why? Why no trial? Why continued denial of bail? And why the insistence on a Diplock Court — a non-jury system that strips away any pretence of a fair hearing?

We’re constantly told that policing and justice in the North are now transparent and accountable. Yet MI5 which maintains operational control over the PSNI through the St Andrews Agreement, answers to no one. It continues to wield unchecked power, imprisoning Irish men and women with impunity.

The silence from our elected representatives is deafening. Whether through cowardice or complicity, their failure to speak out makes them part of the problem, not the solution to ongoing British injustice in Ireland.

Today we remember IRSP activist & INLA volunteer John Morris who was killed by Free State forces on June 5th 1997.

John was a life long Republican Socialist who was callously murdered at the hands of An Garda Síochána.

After John was shot at point blank in the back of the head by Free State forces, they tried to cover up his murder by accusing John of firing at Gardaí when they arrived at the scene.

These allegations have proved to be false as John had no ammunition on him while he was on active service.

His family have yet to receive justice for the cold blooded murder of their loved one. John will forever be remembered by his friends and comrades in the IRSM.

Due for unforeseen circumstances we’ve to postpone our wreath laying for INLA Volunteer Jason Dwyer till next Sunday 11th of may same time.

Nothing will deter us from remembering our volunteers.

We hope to see you all at Jason’s wreath laying every one is welcome. Remember the youth of today will push us further to our goal to a 32 county socialist republic

Yesterday evening the Irish Republican Socialist Movement in Dublin erected our national Proclamation Mural in Crumlin at Sundrive road.

This week and especially this weekend is the most important time of our history and for the country. The Republican movement all around the country is out commemorating our patriot dead who layed down their lives to free Ireland and its people from foreign occupation.

We have been active this year pushing Republicanism back into our communities and highlighting our history especially for the younger generation as it is still being attacked and suppressed by the free state government.

We will never be ashamed of our struggle for National Liberation nor will we allow these lackeys to criminalise our Struggle.

We hope Everyone commemorating our patriot dead have a safe and dignified weekend.

Everyone Has the Right to Remember Their Dead As They See Fit - IRSP

As Easter nears, Irish Republicans from all parts of the country gather to honour our patriot dead—those who gave their lives for the liberation of Ireland. It’s a time of reflection, pride, and remembrance.

But as has sadly become tradition, we’re once again seeing an increase in PSNI harassment against activists involved in Easter preparations—whether it’s putting up flags, posters, tending graves, or simply being stopped and questioned about their plans for the weekend.

Just this week, a former Republican prisoner was convicted under so-called “terrorism legislation” for nothing more than wearing a Republican badge on his coat.

IRSP activists have faced similar political policing over the years. One member was recently convicted simply for holding a flag during a commemoration in Milltown. Others still face pending charges for acts as basic as wearing a commemorative t-shirt or badge while paying tribute to our dead. These prosecutions aren’t about law and order—they’re about silencing Republican voices and criminalising remembrance itself.

These draconian laws, born in Westminster but rubber-stamped by Stormont—including by Sinn Féin—are now being used to target the very communities they claim to represent. Sinn Féin, despite its talk of reform and PSNI accountability, has failed to defend the rights of Republicans to remember their dead. Now, their silence is costing even their own activists.

The IRSP stands firm in the belief that people have the right to remember their dead in their own way. Easter is a time for looking back with pride and forward with purpose. Yet the PSNI, driven by an ingrained hostility to Irish Republicanism and steered by MI5, continues to drag us backwards.

We will not be deterred.
