Here's Depaul's Director of Development and Services, Dermot Murphy, highlighted the growing demand for our services, particularly from struggling families, larger households, and those with complex needs.

Pictured yesterday at the launch of Depaul’s Impact Report 2025: CEO David Carroll was joined by Jackie and Bianca at our Sundial House service in Dublin.

It was a chance to shine a light on the work done by our incredible staff and volunteers throughout 2025, whose professionalism and passion are the driving force for our work, enabling us to change and save lives every day.

Despite record demand across the island of Ireland, our frontline teams worked tirelessly to move hundreds of individuals and families out of emergency accommodation and into secure, long-term homes. We want to thank them and our volunteers - for everything we do.

Behind every page is a life transformed.

We're delighted to share Depaul Ireland's Impact report for 2025 -
'Frontline Prevention: Shaping the Present, Looking to the Future'

The report outlines a year of significant progress against a backdrop of rising demand and record homelessness across the Island of Ireland. 2025 was a year where our mission to end homelessness was really put to the test.

While we delivered record-breaking results in moving people out of emergency accommodation and into long-term homes, the scale of the ongoing housing and cost-of-living crisis placed unprecedented pressure on our frontline services. We believe this work demonstrated that homelessness can be temporary and gives us hope that the right support can make all the difference for people experiencing homelessness.

Here is what frontline action looked like in 2025:

- 8,204 individuals supported across 44 services (a 12% increase year-over-year).

- 914 households moved out of homelessness and into long-term homes.

- 75,254 keyworking sessions delivered.

- 80 lives saved through emergency Naloxone administration.

- 21,181+ volunteer hours dedicated to frontline care.
