The very best of luck to Dundalk Youth Centre and Ardee Care and Repair Scheme, who will represent Louth and their respective communities at the IPB Gala Dinner and Awards at The Convention Centre in Dublin on Saturday evening.

Both groups represented County Louth with confidence, passion and distinction in this year’s IPB Pride of Place Competition 2026, in association with Co-operation Ireland.

♻️ Small actions can make a big difference. Well done to the young volunteers who recently joined Carlingford Tidy Towns new litter-picking group and are already helping to keep their community clean and welcoming.

Don't let your broken Halloween decorations come back to haunt you! 👻🎃

From spooky lights and glowing pumpkins to battery-powered decorations, plenty of our Halloween favourites contain electrical components.

But when they stop working, they shouldn't end up in the household bin or be packed away and forgotten for another year!

♻️ Never bin batteries or electricals. Anything with a plug, cable or battery can be recycled for FREE at a designated collection point.

This Halloween, keep the scares in your decorations, not in how you dispose of them! 👻
