📍 Edenderry Fianna Fáil CC AGM
We had a fantastic turnout last week for the Edenderry Comhairle Ceantair AGM — a strong show of unity and commitment from local members!
👏 Congratulations to our newly elected committee:
🔹 Chairperson: James Jenkinson
🔹 Secretary: Liam Carty
🔹 Treasurers: Peter Doolin & Fergal Swaine
🙏 Sincere thanks to the outgoing officer board, especially Robert Kellaghan, for his outstanding work throughout the 2024 election period.
💬 Cllr Claire Murray gave a detailed report on the vast amount of work she is undertaking across the Edenderry area — from local infrastructure to community supports, her dedication is clear and ongoing.
👮♂️ Tony McCormack TD responded to members' concerns:
➡️ He will seek a meeting with Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan regarding the need for increased Garda presence in the town.
➡️ He also confirmed ongoing discussions with Uisce Éireann on alternative solutions for the wastewater plant to enable future housing development.
CDC Chair Ronan Feighery praised the positive tone of the meeting, saying it marks the start of a strong new chapter for Fianna Fáil in Edenderry.
