In our houses in Fanore, Ireland we rent mostly to Americans with some other international travelers thrown in. I think it’s because people traveling internationally book earlier so people in the country don’t ever see it as a booking option. This year of Covid changed everything. In March we lost every single booking we had. (Which was pretty much the whole summer.) We figured this summer was a wash. But then a couple bookings trickled in. Then we were totally booked in both houses for most of July and all of August. Financially it wasn’t our best year but it also wasn’t our worst. But reviews like this remind us why we do it and make us a little sad that we don’t know when we’ll be able to make it back. We also say a HUGE thanks to Anna and Sarah. We literally could not do any of this without them.
“This is a really magical place. The house is incredible. I have rented many houses over the years and this has to be one of the most unique, beautiful and relaxing properties I have ever been in. We were so relaxed, reading books, listening to music, chatting, drinking wine. The space is designed for people to interact (no TV is a great thing!). Whether it was watching the sunset or watching the storms blow in from the Atlantic, the house is incredible in all weather. Also - it didn't feel like a holiday house - it felt like a home, and somehow after a couple of days its felt like our home (we wish!) Fanore itself is beautiful - so peaceful with a stunning beach and the backdrop of the the Burren. Also very easy access to Doolin, Ballyvaughen and Ennistymon if you need anything. We will 100% be coming back. Can wait. Thank you so much to Deirdre and family. And also to Anna & Sarah who were always on hand to help if anything was needed.”
