🚨 BREAKING: KNIFE SCARE AT PACKED CORK BEACH AS GARDAÍ RUSH TO SCENE

Corkonians were left shocked at the beach after an allegedly intoxicated man reportedly produced a knife during a public order incident

Hundreds of people had gathered at Loughbeg Beach in Ringaskiddy earlier today when the drama unfolded shortly after 4.30pm

Witnesses described chaotic scenes as a man, allegedly became aggressive while drinking alcohol
produced a knife, causing alarm among beachgoers and prompting an emergency response

Multiple Garda units attended the scene, including a public order van, as officers moved to bring the situation under control in front of large crowds enjoying the warm weather

No further details regarding arrests or injuries were immediately available
