Rinn Dúin (Rindoon) Rindoon is the site of a Medieval Anglo-Norman town which at its height had a population of ca 1000 In Irish: Rinn Dúin, in English Rindoon or Randown.

Permanently closed.

Remains of an Anglo-Norman walled town. Situated on Lough Ree about 10 miles by boat from Athlone and the same by car from Athlone or Roscommon. Near the village of Lacarrow in St. John's Parish. Private farmland. Not open to public.
