Projects for this year include the er****on of information boards in the village area and the holding of a Festival event in the summer. However, the biggest project will be the re-development of the Community Centre.

Community Centre re-Development:

Knockainey Community Centre committee and Knockainey Community Council have formed a Community Centre Development Committee. This group is looking at options for upgrading and developing the centre, and welcome suggestions and comments from all members of the community. While considerable funding will be available from sources such as Ballyhoura, the community will have to provide a significant amount of money towards the upgrade.

A series of fundraising events will be planned to finance this project. A tea party is planned in April at Bruff Rugby Club, and the summer Festival will also contribute. A Strictly Come Dancing Knockainey competition is also being discussed, so there's lots to look forward to! All clubs and member of the community are asked to help with fundraising for our community centre.
