Drumlin Yarnspinners Drumlin Yarnspinners is a monthly oral storytelling session based in Monaghan Town. Admission is free.

Sessions take place on the last Tuesday of every month and last for approximately two hours, with a break for a cup of tea.

Join the Drumlin Yarnspinners for a special storytelling evening featuring guest teller Paddy Montague, a poet and storyteller from Drumquin, Co. Tyrone. Paddy is widely appreciated for his lyrical voice, rich sense of place, and his ability to weave humour, memory, and tradition into captivating stories and poems.
This relaxed and friendly gathering welcomes both regular listeners and newcomers. Admission is free.

We’re delighted to welcome Simone Schümmelfeder to our February storytelling gathering!

Simone is a German storyteller, writer, and teacher based in Co. Tipperary. Growing up near Germany’s famous Fairy Tale Road, where the Brothers Grimm collected their stories, she carries a touch of that magic into every tale she tells. Her repertoire is rich and varied—ranging from fairy tales and folklore from around the world to literary stories, myths, personal tales, and even urban legends.

Admission is free, all welcome!

Daniel Downey is a storyteller from West Cavan and a Bard with The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. His focus is on local myth and folktales with a twist on modern myths and stories connecting past and present and looking forward to our shared future.
