Forsyth County Incident Management Team

Forsyth County Incident Management Team The FC-IMT enables Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Emergency Management to provide assistance with managing pre-planned public events and expanding incidents.

The Forsyth County Incident Management Team (FC-IMT) is founded on the principles of the National Response Framework (NRF) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and is designed to allow for maximum coordination and cooperation between responders from all levels of government. The FC-IMT enables Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Emergency Management to provide assistance with managing pre-p

lanned public events and expanding incidents which require significant resources for preparedness, response and recovery, and provide mutual aid assistance as necessary. The team coordinates processes to allow for first responder safety, streamline incident management processes and enhance the ability to utilize federal and state funding to improve local and state agency readiness. The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Office of Emergency Management established and maintains the FC-IMT with qualified and experienced first responders and emergency management personnel. The office also provides quality training to enhance the team’s abilities to interact, communicate, make decisions, and improve risk management during a large scale incident or event.

🚁 “It won’t happen here.”
Multiple medical helicopter crashes this year alone—on-scene, mid-response, in the middle of doing exactly what we call them for.

This isn’t just a “where do I put the cones” landing zone class. This is what do you do when things go sideways—rotor strike, fuel leak, fire, downed bird on your scene. Spoiler: it’s not in your EMT textbook, and you don’t need an EMT patch on your shoulder to show up.

📅 September 20th, 3000 Aviation Dr Winston-Salem, NC 27105 at FCFD HQ @ 1030 AM.
Hosted by Forsyth County Fire Division
Open to ALL public safety agencies (yes, that means you).

Don’t wait until you’re standing next to a burning helicopter to wish you’d sat in on this.
