๐Ÿšจ Know what to do. Save a life. ๐Ÿšจ

This video highlights a simple but vital message:
Check โ€“ Call โ€“ Compress โ€“ Shock

In a cardiac arrest, CPR chest compressions are the most important action you can take. Start immediately โ€” donโ€™t wait for a defibrillator.

โ— Check for response
โ— Call 999 or 112
โ— Compress the chest (start CPR straight away)
โ— Shock with a defibrillator when available

At Castleconnor CFR, weโ€™re here to support our community โ€” but your actions in those first few minutes can make all the difference.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Take a minute to watch this โ€” it could help you save a life.

New Public Access Defibrillator Installed โ€“ Enniscrone

Weโ€™re delighted to share that a new public access defibrillator and cabinet has now been installed on Main Street, Enniscrone.

๐Ÿ“ Location: Old Church, Main Street (beside Queenanโ€™s Checkout)

This vital piece of equipment is now in place thanks to a real community effort:
โ— Councillor Joe Queenan kindly purchased the defibrillator
โ— Castleconnor Community First Responders - CFR Group proudly donated the external defibrillator cabinet - The cabinet was funded through the generous support we received during our vehicle run fundraiser last August
โ— A big thank you to Sean Egan Electrical for installing the cabinet

This is another important step in strengthening emergency response in our community. In a cardiac emergency, early CPR and access to a defibrillator can save lives.

๐Ÿ‘‰ If youโ€™re ever in an emergency, call 999 or 112 immediately, start CPR, and send someone to get the nearest defibrillator.

Welcome to the official page for Castleconnor Community First Responders.

We are a group of trained volunteers who respond to emergency calls in our local area in support of the National Ambulance Service.

When a 999 or 112 call is made, our team can be dispatched to attend life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, providing early CPR and defibrillation while an ambulance is on the way.

Early intervention saves lives, and our goal is to support our community by being there when it matters.

We currently provide coverage across Castleconnor, Enniscrone, Kilglass, Rathlee, Culleens and Bonniconlon, and we work closely with the Ballina Community First Responders group to help ensure strong and consistent emergency response coverage across the wider area.

In an emergency, always call 999 or 112.
