Future Fingal: A Bold Leap Forwards Toward a Green Economic Future

In the latest Dublin Economic Monitor, John Quinlivan, Director of Economic, Enterprise, Tourism and Cultural Development at Fingal County Council, highlights Balbriggan and Fingal’s long-term vision to develop a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable local economy.

Once a quiet rural town, Balbriggan has transformed significantly over the past two decades and is now recognised as Ireland’s youngest and most diverse town.

Supported by over €25 million from the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF), Fingal County Council is investing more than €50 million in public realm improvements. The flagship development will deliver a new civic plaza, five commercial units and a revitalised waterfront by 2026.
