Who wants to spend €9 million & remove essential parking to ADD MORE benches for people not to sit on 🫣

Tallaght village enhancement scheme should be done with the Community not too the Community.
I will continue to advocate for Daniel Shelly and with disabilities in our Community they to ensure they get their best life. We as a Community deserve so much better than this.

You came in your hundreds to show our opposition to the SDCC part 8 plan to remove parking for benches and limit access to our village. Despite the torrential rain you showed up.

Now lets see do the Cllrs show up for the community tomorrow when they vote. 🗳️

The village will not be made safer by the Enhancement Scheme. We need to go back to the drawing board and discuss what will really help the residents the businesses the elderly and those with disabilities if the plan goes ahead it will greatly impact all of the above

Against the overwhelming majority of the residents & businesses wishes. And the NTA.

Cllrs - Vote No.
This plan is fatally flawed.
Start afresh. There is no shame in that.

SDCC re Tallaght Village in 2021

“Traffic is very light.”

“..existing businesses and their customers use the parking spaces that exist as there is a high occupancy level.”

So why look to remove ALL parking in 2026 due to “high traffic volumes” 👀👀👀

Start again & build a plan with real two way collaboration.

Do not waste €8 million forcing this plan through.

I'm calling for the Part 8 to be rejected. Let's go back to the table with all key disability stakeholders within the village and allow proper consultation to ensure that all with disabilities the elderly are not impacted by the changes the obstacles and their independence being put at risk.The village needs to be inclusive to all and to ve more progressive to those with disabilities to give them their best life.
