Garda Justin Lambert was attested and stationed in Waterford Garda Station at the start of May of this year. While still setting into his new surroundings in Waterford, Garda Lambert tells us of the comraderie at Garda College Templemore.

We had a great day at Waterford Garda Station on Monday 1st June with our colleagues from the wonderful emergency services that work across the city and county.

The rain didn't deter our visitors and it was great to see so many children dressed as fire fighters, paramedics and police officers. The county will be well served with these enthusiastic young people - although they will have to wait for subsequent Garda recruitment drives as they are a little too young for this one. It closes tomorrow so if you've been thinking about it - why not apply.

A road traffic checkpoint was conducted today in Leamybrien, Co.Waterford with a high level of compliance observed among motorists. The vast majority of drivers were found to be adhering to road traffic legislation, with only a small number of offences detected.

We would like to thank road users for their cooperation and continued commitment to road safety. Responsible driving helps make our roads safer for everyone.
