A new year has begun and we are excited and ready to begin the work in our community to not only motivate but encourage everyone to get informed about their candidates and VOTE!

Edwin Perez is a candidate for The Florida House of Representatives for District 51.

This area includes Auburndale, Haines City, Davenport, Lake Alfred, Polk City and the Four Corners, northern Polk County areas!

This year our focus is to support candidates that stand with the people in our community and not about power and politics.

Edwin Perez says, Community first! "I am running to take that same spirit to Tallahassee-Polk over Politics- and fight for working families, small businesses, and strong public schools across HD-51!"

2026 we will be working to support our democratic candidates throughout the county. It is very important we unite and support one another in our cause to focus on the people.

Tonight, on the eve of Election Day, I just want to say thank you.

This campaign has never been about me, it’s been about us. It’s been about the parents juggling three jobs, the seniors holding this city together, the students who deserve a brighter future, and every neighbor who wants Winter Haven to grow in a way that actually puts people first.

Over the past months, you opened your doors, your porches, and your hearts. You told me your struggles with housing, traffic, clean water, and the feeling that City Hall hasn’t been listening. And you told me your hopes, not just for today, but for the next generation who will inherit the city we build.

Every conversation, every message, every volunteer who knocked a door or shared a post, you planted a seed for a stronger, fairer Winter Haven. A city where we invest in the future even if we’ll never personally feel the shade.

Tomorrow, we choose whether Winter Haven keeps doing things the same old way… or whether we rise together with next generational leadership that fights for working families, protects our neighborhoods, and puts our kids first.

I’m proud of this movement. I’m proud of you. And no matter what happens tomorrow, I will always keep fighting for the people of Winter Haven.
