The last possibility to see Burning Bush in Israel will be on February 1 at the Jerusalem Cinemateque. Don't miss the opportunity - and do not miss the exhibition of photos depicting Czechoslovak history's crucial moments - 1945, 1968, 1969, 1989 - a good way to compare the film and true images from the times the film depicts.

TOMMORROW, Friday, 24.1.2014 at 12h: Gallery talk between Eliyahu Rips and Czech historian Adam Hradilek. Rips, inspired by Palach, set himself on fire on the main boulevard in Riga in Soviet Latvia. He was involuntarily saved, placed in a mental asylum, but as a famous mathematician later expelled under western media pressure to Israel. He will talk about what led him to resort to this extreme act, why it was self-destructive, and why it is important to resist tyranny.
