Special Relief Camp at Recently Closed TG Mujnai

A special relief camp was conducted at recently closed TG, MUJNAI tea garden in Madarihat Birpara Block. Following activities were conducted.
1.blanket distribution to the needy
2.chick distribution to the labourers 3.special Grant of relief of 24 kgs rice to all the worker families and special Rs 240 cash grant in relief.
4.special health camp for all the workers 4.samajik surakhsha yojana enrollment to non workers.

District administration is taking proactive steps to ensure that the garden is opened at the earliest. 803 families were benefited in the Camp.

A priviledge & honour to attend the empowerment of “Konchog Tsidue & Karling Zhitro” at AGRASEN BHAWAN, JAIGAON in the presence of His Holiness GYANG KHANG KHENTRUL RINPOCHE of Namdroling Monastery, Mysore. Programme was also attended by Shri Goutam Deb MIC Tourism & Shri Mohan Sharma Vice Chairman JDA along with other dignitaries. Also priviledged to meet the highest civil servant of Bhutan, Shri Kesang Wangdi the Cabinet Secretary of Bhutan at the function.

Christmas @ Aloran Schools

Today, Christmas was celebrated in Aloran Schools located in the Closed and Stressed Tea Gardens of the district. Mentor officers dressed as Santa Claus and distributed cakes and sweets to the children. Cake cutting was also organized. Happy Christmas everyone.

Surprise Inspection of BLLRO Offices

Today at 10 am, all 6 BLLRO (Land) Offices in the district were simultaneously inspected by DM and other senior officers like ADM, SDO etc. 6 Officers were found absent and 22 clerical staff were absent. Out of the 6 officers absent, 3 were BLLROs. All absent officers will be showcaused. Huge pendency of mutation cases were found and special camps will be held immediately for clearing the pendency. Report after special camp to be submitted to DM by 24th January 2019.

Aapnaar Baagane Proshasan for Tea Gardens in Falakata

Aapnar Baagane Proshasan was held today at 2 venues in Falakat Block. At venue 1, Sarugaon TG & Ethelbari TG were covered. At Venue 2, Tasati TG, Dalmoni TG & Dalgaon TG were covered. Total attendance at both meetings is 6000+. Meeting was attended by DM, Honble MP Alipurduar Dasharat Tirkey, Honble MLA Falakata Anil Adhikary, ADMs, BDO and other senior officers. Awareness was created about schemes of West Bengal Govt, benefits were distributed among the public & grievances were received on the spot.

Inauguration of Piped Drinking Water Project at Madhu Tea Garden

A Piped Drinking Water project by PHE Department was flagged off at closed Tea Garden, Madhu TG, Kalchini. This project has been taken up on the basis of complaints received with regard to water scarcity in Madhu TG at first Aapnar Baagane Proshasan held there on 22nd July. The total project cost is 2.41 Crores and first phase will be completed by March 2019.

Waiting Hut for Pregnant Women at Uttar Latabari Rural Hospital Kalchini

10 bedded Waiting Hut for Pregnant Women has officially started functioning today at Uttar Latabari Rural Hospital Kalchini. This waiting hut is expected to provide emergency care and treatment to pregnant mothers in adjoining Tea Garden areas and thereby further reduce our maternal mortality rate.

Free Screening Camp for Complications among Diabetes Patients

A Free Screening camp for screening of multi pronged complications among known diabetic patients was held today at Alipurduar Indoor Stadium by District Health & Family Welfare Samity. 277 Patients from 4 Blocks Kalchini, Kumargram, APD 1 & APD 2 attended the camp. Buses were hired to bring patients to the camp for free. The camp was attended by 6 Specialist Doctors. Services offered include Free Blood test, ECG & Fundoscopy for Diabetic Retinopathy. Free medicines were distributed and counselling was also done. Similar camp will be held tomorrow at Falakata.

Visit of Aloran School Students to Dooars Kanya

Today 23 School students from 2 Aloran Schools in Kumargram from Workers Primary High School & Rahimabad TG Primary School visited Dooas Kanya at Alipurduar. They were given an exposure visit of the Collectorate and SDO Office. They also attended the Aloran review meeting chaired by DM. Laptop was given to the Schools so as to enable functioning of Smart Classroom in the Schools. The Students were also given token gifts from District Administration in the form of Aloran T shirts and stationaries.

Aapnaar Baagane Proshasan at Kalchini covering 7 Tea Gardens

Aapnaar Baagane Proshasan was held today at 2 venues in Kalchini. At Bharnobari TG Ground, the Programme was held for Bharnobari TG, Satali TG, Subhashini TG & Beech TG. At Torsha TG Ground, the programme was held for Torsha TG, Mohuwa TG and Dalsingpara TG. The programme was attended by Hon'ble MP Dashrat Tirkey, DM, ADM, PD DRDC, BDO, Deputy Magistrates and other officials. Awareness was raised about Schemes of WB Govt and grievances were received. Benefits were also distributed. Total attendance at both venues is 8000 +.
