Omar Abdullah Mourns Demise of Uncle Dr Mustafa Kamal, Pays Emotional Tribute
Srinagar, July 14: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed profound grief over the passing of his uncle, Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, saying the veteran National Conference leader passed away at Paras Hospital, Srinagar, after battling a prolonged illness.
In an emotional message, Omar Abdullah said Dr Kamal had been unwell for several months, but his condition deteriorated significantly over the past four days. He said his uncle fought bravely despite the odds, while appreciating the doctors and hospital staff for their dedicated care.
"Despite every effort, Allah called him for his final journey," Omar Abdullah said, praying that the Almighty grants Dr Mustafa Kamal the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, a senior National Conference leader and former minister, passed away on Monday evening, leaving behind a legacy of public service and political leadership.
