Outlines the roadmap for Swachh Survekshan 2025-26.
To achieve our goal of a cleaner Bengaluru, the Urban Development Department and BSWML are prioritizing enhanced processing capabilities. However, source segregation remains the backbone of this effort.
Key Directives:
✅ Mandatory Segregation: Dry, Wet, and Sanitary waste must be separated at the source.
✅ New Hazardous Waste Category: Starting April 1st, items like bulbs, cells, and batteries must be handled as a separate special category.
✅ Call to Action: Sustainable urban development is a shared responsibility between the government and its citizens.

On 17th March 2026, a meeting was held with agencies maintaining public and community toilets across the 5 Corporations of GBA. The session was chaired by Sri Kareegowda Gowda, CEO, and presented by Ms. Ramamani, COO, BSWML.
All agencies assured to co‑operate in keeping our city clean and hygienic by ensuring:
✅ Functional units with proper lighting, ventilation & water supply
✅ Clear signages & robust feedback systems
✅ Display of SBM messages ahead of Swachh Sarvekshan 2025‑26
