With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Ayatullah Khamenei, a towering figure whose conviction and leadership inspired millions. His loss leaves a deep void for those who believed in resistance, dignity, and faith.

In this moment of grief, we also reflect on the suffering caused by decades of intervention, sanctions, war, and occupation. The policies of the United States and Israel have brought immense pain and instability to the region, and history will judge those actions.

May Allah grant him mercy, elevate his ranks, and give strength to all who stand against oppression. His legacy will remain in the hearts of those who seek justice and sovereignty.

Almighty Allah has bestowed His choicest blessings upon us as the valley has witnessed heavy snowfall.

However, I would like to bring to the kind notice of the District Administration, Baramulla, that almost all roads within my constituency are blocked and electricity supply has been disrupted. This has severely affected normal life, including the movement of patients, elderly people, school children, and other essential and emergency services.

It is therefore earnestly requested that the concerned departments may kindly be directed to ensure immediate restoration of electricity and clearance of roads on a priority basis, so that normalcy is restored at the earliest and any untoward situation is avoided.

M***i Mohammad Sayeed
(12 January 1936 – 7 January 2016)

As we approach the death anniversary of the late M***i Mohammad Sayeed Sahab on 7 January, we take this moment to remember and honour a towering statesman and visionary leader who devoted his entire life to the service of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.

Founder of the People’s Democratic Party and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, M***i Sahab stood for dialogue, reconciliation, democracy, and the dignity of the people. His political journey was defined by courage, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to peace and inclusive development.

He firmly believed that lasting solutions are built on trust, understanding, and respect for the aspirations of the people. His legacy continues to guide and inspire generations of party workers like me.

On this solemn occasion, I bow my head in remembrance of a leader whose vision continues to illuminate our path.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Auqib Nabi, a son of our soil, has brought honour to the region through his outstanding achievement. His success reflects the immense potential of our youth and the growing opportunities emerging from focused efforts in sports development.

Such achievements reinforce our belief that when talent is identified, encouraged, and supported through policy and infrastructure, our youth can compete and excel at the highest levels. Jammu & Kashmir is rich in talent, and we remain committed to creating pathways that enable our young achievers to realise their dreams.

Economic Disaster in the Making – Farmers and Traders Left Helpless.

The Srinagar-Jammu highway blockade has left thousands of fruit-laden trucks stranded for over a week, causing crores of rupees worth of produce to rot away. This isn’t just a loss of goods – it is a direct hit to the livelihood of hardworking farmers and traders whose entire earnings are now at risk.

The government must stop treating this as just another administrative failure. Immediate steps like providing financial relief to affected farmers through KCC loan waivers, direct compensation, and emergency logistical support must be implemented. Without urgent action, more farmers will be pushed into debt and despair, while the economy suffers irreparable damage . It’s time to act, not to wait.

Srinagar-Jammu Highway Blockade: A Preventable Disaster Crushing Farmers

The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway has been blocked for over a week, and thousands of trucks carrying perishable fruits are still stranded. With no movement in sight, crores of rupees worth of fruits are rotting away, causing massive losses to farmers and traders who depend on this lifeline. The government’s complete failure to clear the blockade or provide timely assistance has left people helpless and our economy on the verge of collapse.

This is not just poor management—it is utter negligence. No alternative routes were arranged, no emergency teams deployed, and no proper communication given to those affected. Lack of planning, accountability, and urgency has turned this into a preventable disaster. The government must act now before more livelihoods are destroyed.

Strongly condemn the use of PSA against elected MLA Mehraj Malik. Silencing elected representatives through draconian laws is an assault on democracy itself. Dissent cannot be criminalized; it must be heard. Any allegations of misbehaviour by elected representatives or undue favouritism by selected officials must be fairly investigated, not muzzled. Today it’s Mehraj, tomorrow it could be anyone of us. A dark day for democratic values.
