Former IGP , senior political leader and vice president J&K People's Conference. Raja Aijaz Ali today greeted people on Shab-e-Baraat and hoped that the auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace and development in the state.

In his message, Raja Ajaz Ali described the occasion as an opportunity to seek Almighty Allah’s mercy and pray for peace and wellbeing of the entire humanity.

He said during the holy night of prayers, we should vow to be compassionate and work towards strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, love and amity among the people.

*House damageD in fire incident in Shahdara Kamalkote in Sub Division Uri*

Uri,20 February 2023: A residential house suffered extensive damages in a fire incident that broke out the previous night in Shahdara Kamalkote in Sub Division Uri.

No loss of life was reported a. However, all belongings kept in the house were destroyed.

According to reports the fire broke out in a residential house belonging to SYED QULANDER SHAH , SYED Abass hussain , SYED Murtaza Hussain And Syed AFLAQ Hussain total 17 members family of Shahdara Kamalkote Uri

People of the area have sought the intervention of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla , for establishment of a fire station at Kamalkote sector.

The reason behind this fire incident yet not ascertained.

Srinagar 11 Feb(KNB): Syed Basharat Bukhari, Vice President & Media Head of Jammu & Kashmir People’s Conference in keeping with the prior promise of full-fledged support for the struggle of the people of Karnah and Tangdhar for safer road connectivity for the region demanded that the construction of Tunnel at Sadhna Top connecting Karnah and Tanghdar and appealed the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Government of India to execute the promise made by the Honorable Minister for Transport, Shri Nitin Gadkari in the year 2018.

In a statement issued to News agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that Vice President of the Party also reiterated that more than 200 people have lost their lives during the past 6 years due to the unsafe and avalanche prone roads in the area.

Further, the Vice President also reiterated the position of the Party that the maintenance of safety of General Public is the duty of the Government and People’s right.

Today On Dated 6th Of February 2023 , Accusing the Jammu & Kashmir administration of Creating homelessness & Panic J&K People's Conference President Sajad Gani Lone on Monday said that New Delhi Shouldn't be represented by bulldozers in Kashmir, but by love and Compassion.

Addressing a news Conference Mr Sajad Gani Lone said the objective of the ongoing eviction drive seems humiliation of Kashmiris.

What is the objective of the government ?

Do they want to retrieve land or humiliate people ? I think humiliation is more important for them, he said.

Mr Sajad Gani Lone said that the current administration in J&K is not an elected regime and should leave bigger decisions for an elected government.

Mr Sajad Gani Lone Speaks about President’s Rule & said that , It is a temporary arrangement.They Can not take decisions on behalf of the people of J&K. They can not take all decisions on its own.
They are not elected by the People , Mr Lone told reporters here.

Mr Lone , Who was flanked by Senior J&K PC leaders Peerzada Mansoor Hussain and Muhammad Ashraf Mir, said that the J&K administration is inventing homelessness by razing down homes of poor people.
They are not giving any notice. The law of the land cannot be violated,he said, adding that only poor are suffering due to the ongoing eviction drive in J&K.

I want to ask my Prime Minister who is the Prime Minister of poor people whose houses are demolished. Where will poor people go ? He asked in a Press Conference.

*Land Eviction Drive: "Will not let government to do injustice with poor": Former Minister, Syed Basharat Bukhari*


Srinagar, Feb 05 (KNS): People's Conference vice president, Syed Basharat Bukhari on Sunday said his party will not let the government do injustice with the poor people of Jammu and Kashmir with regard to the ongoing eviction drive

Talking to news agency KNS, Bukhari said they are much concerned about peoples miseries and the ongoing eviction drive has triggered chaos especially among the.

“Our party will not let the government do injustice and unfair practices with the poor. PC delegation led by me met Chief Secretary J&K and apprised him about the hardships being faced by people especially poor.”

He also said the delegation clarified that if the government had said that poor will not be touched, however, the situation on ground speaks differently.

"There should be no ambiguity in the drive. The government should frame a concrete policy and directions must be given to concerned officials to make them understand where to use bulldozer and where not,” Bukhari said.

He said poor people are much distressed due to the ongoing eviction drive as the community feels their land and livelihood is at risk. “So it is the responsibility of the government to assure them that their land and livelihood will not be touched and harmed", he said.

Bukhari said the government should have identified people having possession of few marlas of land prior to demolition drive so that the prevalent mess among masses would have been avoided.

He said if any poor was touched and affected during the drive so far, the government must come forward for their rehabilitation.

To a query, he said the meeting with Chief Secretary took place in a friendly atmosphere and their pleas were heard patiently.

He said he is hopeful government will come up with some tangible policy to ensure more transparency in the drive so that poor will get maximum relief. (KNS)
