The claims and objections period will remain open from 21 July to 20 August 2026, followed by disposal of claims and objections until 18 September 2026. The Final Electoral Roll will be published on 22 September 2026.
The draft roll is available for public inspection at the offices of the DEO, ERO, AEROs, and all 56 polling stations through the respective BLOs. ๐Ÿ“ขDeputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer , Leparada Ms. Himani Meena, on Thursday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in the district, with particular focus on the distribution, collection, and digitization of Enumeration Forms.
The meeting brought together Booth Level Officers (BLOs) whose digitization pendency of Enumeration Forms remained above 30%. During the review, She interacted individually with concerned BLOs to understand the reasons behind such pendency in their respective polling stations. Key factors raised by BLOs included:
๐Ÿ”ธ Demise of registered electors
๐Ÿ”ธ Migration and change of residence of voters
๐Ÿ”ธ Electors who could not be traced in their polling areas
๐Ÿ”ธ Migration of a considerable number of non-APST voters
๐Ÿ”ธ Disruption caused by incessant rainfall and landslides, severely hampering door-to-door verification and form collection.

While acknowledging the genuine field-level difficulties, Ms. Meena emphasized that such obstacles are natural in large-scale administrative exercises and must be overcome systematically. She directed all BLOs to:
โœ… DC-cum-DEO directed BLOs to:
๐Ÿ”ธ Record proper remarks for unavoidable pendencies.
๐Ÿ”ธ Submit daily progress reports from 10th July 2026.
๐Ÿ”ธ Intensify house-to-house visits & voter awareness.
๐Ÿ”ธ Complete digitization by 13th July 2026.

DEO furthered expressed confidence that with the dedication of all BLOs and election officials, the District will successfully complete the SIR within the timeframe โ€” ensuring every eligible voter is included.
