SAVE KHANAPUR !
SAVE RAIN ! SAVE FARMERS !
Friends,
The farmers in certain villages of Khanapur have been SERVED A LAND ACQUISITION NOTICE to hand over their lands to the Government of Karnataka. This is a project to take the waters from Bandura Nala through an underground pipeline to the villages and towns of Dharward District etc. Not only will the farmers and public of Khanapur lose their lands and water but also the forests dependent on the flow of these river systems in the Khanapur and adjacent regions will be gravely impacted.
Apart from farmers, agriculture, and public being affected right now, the project will steadily hasten the process of desertification of entire North Karnataka region.
In the immediate and long term interests of Khanapur’s Rain, Water, Farming, Farmlands and People let us all come together to collectively arrive at solutions and an action plan. Kindly join this effort in large numbers.
