On the successful commemoration of the 508th Nirvan Divas of Sant Kabir Ji at Chak-Avtara, Bishnah, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the general public, devotees and members of our Biradari from Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Udhampur and adjoining states whose overwhelming presence, sincere efforts and tireless hard work made this sacred occasion a grand success.
The discipline, unity and devotion displayed by the gathering truly reflected the eternal teachings of Sant Kabir Sahib. It is because of your cooperation, dedication and collective spirit that the programme was conducted in such an impressive and peaceful manner.
I am particularly grateful to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor for his gracious presence and for his positive assurances. In his address, he informed that the proposal for declaration of a Gazetted Holiday on Kabir Jayanti has been submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs for concurrence. He also clarified that reservation in promotion is not merely a matter of representation before the Government but a rightful entitlement of the reserved category employees. He assured that the matter is under active consideration and that efforts are being made for early disposal of the pending sub judice litigation so that the benefits may reach the rightful beneficiaries at the earliest.
I sincerely thank all public representatives, dignitaries, volunteers, organisers and members of the community who worked day and night for the success of this programme.
I appeal to everyone that with the continued blessings of Sant Kabir Sahib and the unity of our Biradari, we shall organise such meaningful and socially awakening programmes in the future as well, so that the message of truth, equality and brotherhood spreads far and wide.
With folded hands, I once again thank each one of you for your invaluable support.
