International snow leopard day was celebrated in a befitting manner today at *Thembang* . The event , organised in collaboration with Thembang bapu CCA management committee and WWF - India was graced by Hon'ble ZPC West Kameng, Shri Karma Dorjee Thongdok ji as Chief guest and DFO Bomdila, Shri Obang Tayeng as Guest of honour.

The key highlights of the celebration included;
*Inauguration of the office of Thembang bapu CCA management committee.
*An exhibition on wildlife conservation and brokpa livelihoods and rangeland management.
*Community program highlighting ongoing conservation efforts in Thembang.

Also, Extensive discussion on challenges in habitat management, man animal conflict mitigation and future management/conservation strategies were also discussed. It was also pledged to make the program an annual event.

Prizes for literary competitions were also distributed during the day.
