ering, textiles, agro & food processing, mineral processing, chemicals, automobile and solar technology have enhanced the employment opportunities in Gujarat. The Commissionerate of Employment & Training, Government of Gujarat has been in the forefront of implementing various skill-building programmes with the aim of helping people to get jobs and this in-turn facilitates Industrial Development. At present 263 Govt.ITIs, 475 Grant-in-aid & Self-Financed ITCs, 335KVKs(Kaushalya Vardhan Kendra), 575 VTPs (Vocational Training Provider) and 41Employment Exchanges are functioning under this Commissionerate. The team of more than 6,500 people makes excellent efforts in imparting training to7,86,794 trainees at various Training Institutes in different training programs under the Commissionerate and assisting around 2,25,550 people to get employment through Employment Exchanges. Vadodara Region have 118 KVK, 58 Govt. ITI and 42 GIA and 91 Self Finance ITI.
