ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੁਢਾਪਾ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਸਕੀਮ ਤਹਿਤ 23.77 ਲੱਖ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ 1,423.33 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਣ-ਮਰਿਆਦਾ, ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਜਨਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ 4,000 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਬਜਟ ਰਾਖਵਾਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
