Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi, inaugurated the Integrated Library Management System, Book Stack Area, and Research Support Services Section at the Shri Raghunath Kirti Campus Library, Devprayag, on 18 May 2026 under the “One University, One Library System” initiative. The inauguration took place in the presence of the Director of Shri Raghunath Kirti Campus, Prof. P. V. B. Subrahmanyam, and the University Librarian, Dr. P. M. Gupta.
Dr. Naveen Dobriyal, Library In-Charge of the campus, briefed about the newly implemented system, along with its various facilities and services.
During the visit, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor also reviewed and appreciated several newly introduced initiatives, including:

-Development of an Online Directory of CSU Awarded Ph.D. Theses
-Implementation of IRINS – Indian Research Information Network System (INFLIBNET Services)
-Creation of the CSU Digital Repository
-Jnanvahini e-Library and Mobile App
-Scanning, Translation, and Reprographic Services etc.

The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor highly appreciated these innovative initiatives and the transformational efforts undertaken by the CSU Library Team.

These initiatives aim to strengthen teaching, learning, research, and digital access facilities for students, researchers, and faculty members across all campuses of the Central Sanskrit University (CSU).

केंद्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय में विश्व पुस्तक एवं कॉपीराइट दिवस का देशव्यापी आयोजन
केन्द्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय के CSU Knowledge Resource Centre द्वारा विश्व पुस्तक एवं कॉपीराइट दिवस के अवसर पर 23 अप्रैल 2026 मुख्यालय एवं विभिन्न परिसरों में बौद्धिक एवं रचनात्मक गतिविधियों की श्रृंखला का आयोजन किया गया। इस पहल ने पठन-संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने, बौद्धिक संपदा अधिकारों के संरक्षण तथा भारत की पारंपरिक ज्ञान-परंपरा को आधुनिक शैक्षणिक दृष्टिकोण से जोड़ने के विश्वविद्यालय के दृढ़ संकल्प को रेखांकित किया।
इस अवसर पर विश्वविद्यालय के माननीय कुलपति प्रो. श्रीनिवास वरखेडी जी ने अपने संदेश में कहा कि पुस्तकें मानव सभ्यता की अमूल्य धरोहर हैं, जो ज्ञान, संस्कृति और मूल्यों के संवाहक के रूप में समाज को दिशा प्रदान करती हैं। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से निरंतर अध्ययन की आदत विकसित करने तथा ज्ञानार्जन के प्रति समर्पित रहने का आह्वान किया।
नई दिल्ली स्थित विश्वविद्यालय मुख्यालय में इस अवसर पर स्व-रचित काव्यपाठ तथा “पुस्तकों का जीवन और समाज पर प्रभाव” विषय पर पोस्टर प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। शोधार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लेते हुए अपनी सृजनात्मक प्रतिभा का प्रभावशाली प्रदर्शन किया, जिससे संपूर्ण वातावरण ज्ञान, साहित्य और सृजनशीलता से ओतप्रोत रहा।
अपने उद्बोधन में शोध विभाग के अधिष्ठाता प्रो. गणेश टी. पंडित ने कहा कि जीवन में वास्तविक प्रगति और उन्नति के लिए ग्रंथों में निहित ज्ञान को आत्मसात करना अत्यंत आवश्यक है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को पारंपरिक ज्ञान के साथ-साथ आधुनिक तकनीकी दक्षताओं को विकसित करने की आवश्यकता पर भी बल दिया।
कार्यक्रम के उद्घाटन सत्र में विश्वविद्यालय के पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष डॉ. पी. एम. गुप्ता ने पुस्तकों के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा, “पुस्तकें वह खिड़कियाँ हैं जिनके माध्यम से हम ज्ञान के विशाल संसार की झलक प्राप्त करते हैं,” तथा विद्यार्थियों को नियमित अध्ययन की आदत विकसित करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
डॉ. अमृता कौर ने अपने वक्तव्य में पुस्तकों के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए विद्यार्थियों को रचनात्मक गतिविधियों में सक्रिय सहभागिता के लिए प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने पोस्टर प्रतियोगिता का अवलोकन करते हुए प्रतिभागियों के प्रयासों की सराहना की तथा उनके प्रस्तुतिकरण पर मार्गदर्शक टिप्पणियाँ प्रदान कीं।
कार्यक्रम का सफल संचालन उप-पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष डॉ. स्नेहलता उपाध्याय द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर विश्वविद्यालय के जनसम्पर्क अधिकारी नरेन्द्र दोतोलिया सहित अनेक शिक्षकगण, पुस्तकालय कर्मी एवं शोधार्थी उपस्थित रहे।
इसके अतिरिक्त, विश्वविद्यालय के विभिन्न परिसरों में पुस्तक प्रदर्शनियों, पुस्तक दान अभियानों, शैक्षणिक चर्चाओं, कक्षा-आधारित सहभागिता कार्यक्रमों तथा बौद्धिक संपदा अधिकारों एवं नैतिक शैक्षणिक उपयोग पर जागरूकता सत्रों का आयोजन किया गया। इन पहलों ने ज्ञान के प्रसार, शैक्षणिक नैतिकता तथा सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण में पुस्तकालयों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को पुनः स्थापित किया।
इस आयोजन का समापन लेखकों के अधिकारों की रक्षा तथा डिजिटल युग में संस्कृत ज्ञान संसाधनों की सुलभता सुनिश्चित करने के सामूहिक संकल्प के साथ हुआ। विश्वविद्यालय समुदाय ने यह संकल्प दोहराया कि पुस्तकालयों में संरक्षित प्राचीन ज्ञान आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए प्रेरणा और मार्गदर्शन का स्रोत बना रहेगा।

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed between Central Sanskrit University and Gyan Bharatam India as part of a strategic initiative focused on the preservation, enrichment, and academic advancement of Sanskrit and India’s knowledge traditions.

The MoU signing ceremony was conducted in the distinguished presence of the Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Government of India , Mr. Vivek Agarwal; the Hon’ble Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi; Prof. R.G. Murali Krishna; along with eminent scholars and academicians, including Dr. P. M. Gupta and the Gyan Bharat team.

This collaboration represents a significant step toward strengthening the integration of India’s classical intellectual heritage with contemporary academic and research frameworks.
