A major blow to interstate g***a trafficking.

Acting on credible intelligence, Balangir Excise team conducted a coordinated operation that led to the seizure of 1,360 kg of contraband g***a , 2 pickup vans, and the arrest of 8 accused. Two cases have been registered under the NDPS Act, 1985.

The operation, built on three months of sustained intelligence and surveillance, dismantled an organised supply chain transporting g***a from Baliguda, Kandhamal to Delhi.

A major blow to drug trafficking on 07.07.2026, as the Excise Enforcement team led by DSE Shri Raj Sekhar and Inspector Smt. On 06.06.2026, a major raid in Basta and Jaleswar areas of Balasore district led to the arrest of 4 persons and seizure of 6,200 litres of ID liquor, 93.75 litres of duplicate foreign liquor, 117 litres of beer, 100 litres of blended spirit, 500 ml caramel, one Kia Sonnet car, and one motorcycle.

Four cases have been registered, and further investigation is underway to trace the supply network and other persons involved. Total monetary value of the seized article is 20 Lakh.
