The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), in association with Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), organised a two-day Orientation Programme on Capacity Building of Functional Directors of CPSEs at Pune on 20-21 August 2026.

Day 1 of the event commenced with the welcome address by CMD, RCF, followed by an address by Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, DPE. The sessions covered the Roles & Responsibilities of Directors of CPSEs by Dr. Anup Pujari, Arbitration in CPSEs by Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, and Transformative Board Leadership by Dr. Anil Khandelwal.

The sessions provided valuable insights into effective leadership, governance and decision-making in CPSEs and witnessed enthusiastic participation and engaging discussions.

DPE, in collaboration with Ministry of Women & Child Development and Department of Sports, and with UNICEF India as technical partner, organized Roundtable on Annual CSR theme for CPSEs with CSR heads/Nodal officers of top 35 CSR spending CPSEs on 18th August, 2026 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Roundtable focussed on bringing implementational clarity on the CSR thematic areas of Nutrition (Anganwadi Development) and Promotion of Sports and highlighted pathways for strategic coordination between stakeholders for impactful CSR projects in these two themes.

Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary (DPE), Shri Anil Malik, Secretary (WCD) and Shri Hari Ranjan Rao, Secretary (Sports) along with senior Government officers joined the roundtable and addressed the gathering which included senior officers from concerned departments (WCD, ICDS et.) from number of States/UTs and eminent sports personalities.

Secretary, DPE and the Officials found the interaction highly informative and gained valuable insights into the Organization's round-the-clock role in ensuring the safe, secure, sustainable and reliable operation of India’s power system.
