SFI Hindu College unit met Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala Shri.Pinarayai Vijayan and apprised him of the issues students from Kerala are facing in Delhi University. He has been detailed about the urgent need to revive the defunct Malayalam department in the university and also about the delay in processing of equivalency certificate which is mandatory for various competitive exams conducted by the Kerala Public service Commission. The Chief Minister has assured to take necessary steps to resolve the issues.

The militant and brave struggles by SFI for the student community across the country rarely get featured in mainstream media. Whereas, social media is an effective platform to reach out to the student community across the country with updates on our struggles and other activities. SFI with membership over 40 lakh has only 1.25 lakh followers on Facebook and even lesser for other social media platforms ( Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Telegram). In this regard, the SFI social media committee call for a campaign

SFI extends it support to stage Kithab.

Apparently Kithab should be seen as a metaphor for liberation rather than putting a lid over it. Undoubtedly we had expressed our solidarity even when the discussions revolving around Kithab were taking place at the District youth festival. If the students are interested to perform Kithab, SFI will provide the platform to stage it. In addition ,SFI reiterates its utmost commitment towards upholding freedom of expression.
