During the 14th century, a craft captured the hearts of connoisseurs of dexterity. Popular artform of Telangana, Bidri Craft or Bidriware emanated from the Bahamani Sultans' reign. The distinctive craftwork is a blend of Persian and Arabic cultures with a touch of local style. It comprises eight different stages - the first stage includes moulding, then smoothening, after that comes designing which is done with the help of a chisel. Once done, engraving takes place which is later followed by the inlaying of pure silver. Further, the process of smoothening is initiated again. Next, it is buffed and finally oxidized. Flora, fauna, human figurines, and geometric patterns are carved on Bidriware. Products like hookahs, earrings, paanholders, ornament boxes, bowls, trays, and various jewelry pieces are part of this craftwork.

South India is a pool of treasure, from which emerges the exclusive style of painting known as Tanjore or Thanjavur Painting. These paintings draw their origin from the state of Tamil Nadu. The classic beauty is sought-after due to its bold colour selection and use of glitter gold foils. Later the foils are coated over gesso work and then decorated with glass beads. Maratha, Deccani, and Vijaynagar styles can be glimpsed in these paintings. This painting style has transformed and revamped as per different time periods. Even after, it hasnтАЩt lost its admirers and tends to be equally popular. Moving ahead, they revolve mainly around saints, Hindu deities, goddesses, and excerpts from various Hindu mythologies.

Within the pink city of India lies the traces of a traditional craft form named Blue Pottery. Characterized by its blue dye, this craft is originally Turko-Persian. However, later, it thrived within the state of Rajasthan as well. Blue Pottery comprises Persian art which hailed from Afghanistan and Persia through the court of Mughals. The name 'blue pottery' comes from the eye-catching blue dye used to color the pottery. The 'dough' for the pottery is prepared by mixing quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth), borax, gum and water. Quartz is the main element for crafting enchanting craft pieces. Flora, fauna, and arabesque motifs inspired from the Mughal era are widely used to create these. Flower vases, glazed tiles, soap dishes, fruit bowls, trays, doorknobs, surahis are some of the products which fall under the craft of Blue Pottery.
