A decade ago, UPI was rolled out — and it completely transformed how India pays.
From scanning a QR for chai or auto fare, splitting bills with friends in seconds, sending money to family across the country instantly, to small shopkeepers accepting payments without cash or cards… UPI made digital payments effortless, free, and truly for everyone.

What once felt futuristic is now second nature. No more waiting for change, no more carrying cash, just open any app and pay.

The scale is mind-blowing — hundreds of crores of transactions daily, empowering millions and putting India at the forefront of real-time payments globally. Proud of this Digital Public Infrastructure success story. What’s your UPI story? How has it changed your daily life?
