It is a
progressive left leaning students'
organization. Aisf is working and
fighting for free and equal
education all with equal school
system. History
The AISF was founded on August
12, 1936, and is the first Indian
federation of students to work for
the independence of India. The
idea of such a federation was
mooted by late Indian Prime
Minister Shri.Jawaharlal Nehru
and over the years it has b
een
instrumental in shaping several
great leaders like former President
of India, Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam,
former PM, Shri.Atal Bihari
Vajpayee, D.Raja, M.P, Rajya
Sabha and many others who
started their political career
through this students' federation. It witnessed an unprecedented
number of students who came
forward to struggle for the
independence of India. The organisation now works for the
betterment of students with its
focus on peace, progress and
scientific socialism. It has the
banner " Freedom, Peace,
Progress." AISF as an organisation has been
continuously fighting for the
issues faced by students and the
society at large. In India the
federation has organized several
awareness programmes (Dramas,
Street theatre performances,
Mimes, Dance, Short films, etc.) and mass rallies to address
various social problems in states
such as, West Bengal, Kerala,
Punjab, Tamil Nadu,Andhra
Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka,
Pondicherry, Uttar Pradesh,
Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura,
Gujarat, Assam and Bihar. The AISF has state committees in
most states in India. The

federation is as follows,

The AISF national level conference
was held in Hyderabad University
in the year 2013. During this
