A Step Towards Empowering Young Minds Through Sports & Learning
At 2nd IRBN BHQ Diyun, a School Sports Library and Computer Lab was inaugurated on 20th March 2026 by Madam Commandant Ms. Swati Singh, IPS.
This initiative has been dedicated to school children with the vision of nurturing their physical, mental, and creative growth. The Sports Library aims to encourage young minds to actively engage in sports, develop discipline, and pursue their dreams with confidence.
The newly established Computer Lab will serve as a gateway to digital learning, equipping children with essential technological skills and providing access to knowledge beyond textbooks. It aims to enhance digital literacy, spark innovation, and prepare students to thrive in an increasingly technology driven world.
This effort reflects the commitment of 2nd IRBN towards community welfare and the holistic development of the younger generation empowering them both on the field and in the digital sphere.

With the motto “Health is Wealth,” and recognizing that good health is a crucial component of the overall well being, efficiency and operational readiness of police personnel, a new Integrated Health Centre has been inaugurated at 2nd IRBn BHQ Diyun.
The centre aims to facilitate regular health check-ups and provide essential medical support to all personnel, thereby promoting a culture of preventive healthcare within the unit.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted on 20th March 2026 by Madam Commandant, Ms. Swati Singh, IPS, in the esteemed presence of Assistant Commandant (Ops) Shri George Lungphi, APPS; Assistant Commandant (HQ) Shri Nongja Samon, APPS; and Assistant Commandant (Mod.) Shri Gesap Ronya, APPS.

On 20th February 2026, the auspicious occasion of Statehood Day of our beloved State, Arunachal Pradesh, was celebrated with great enthusiasm, pride, and patriotic fervour at the 2nd IRBN HQ, Diyun.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of National Flag by the Commandant, Smt. Swati Singh, IPS, whose gracious presence added dignity and solemnity to the occasion. On this significant day, Madam Commandant extended her warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to all officers, personnel, and staff, urging everyone to uphold the rich legacy, unity, and spirit of Arunachal Pradesh.
The day’s proceedings were formally briefed by the Assistant Commandant, Shri George Lungphi, APPS, who highlighted the significance of Statehood Day and its relevance in the historical journey of Arunachal Pradesh. He reflected upon the sacrifices, progress, and achievements of the State since attaining full-fledged statehood and emphasized the role of disciplined forces in safeguarding peace and development.
Addressing the gathering, the Commandant Madam elaborated on the historical importance of the day, recalling the transformation of Arunachal Pradesh into a full-fledged state and its steady growth in various spheres. Madam commandant also motivated the personnel to continue serving the State and the Nation with unwavering dedication, integrity, and professionalism, while contributing positively to the welfare and security of society.
The celebration concluded on a cheerful and harmonious note with the distribution of sweets and an interactive session, fostering camaraderie, unity, and a sense of belonging among all ranks. The event reflected the collective pride and commitment of the 2nd IRBN family towards the State and the Nation.

On 10th February 2026, a free medical health check-up camp was successfully organised at 2nd IRBN BHQ, Diyun in collaboration with Oil India Limited.The initiative spearheaded under the leadership of Commandant, Ms. Swati Singh, IPS reaffirmed the unit’s strong commitment to community welfare, preventive healthcare, and personnel well-being.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from school children of the EWS School, BHQ Diyun, family members of IRBN personnel, and personnel of 2nd IRBN, Diyun. Medical consultations and basic health screenings were conducted, enabling early detection of common ailments, dissemination of health awareness, and guidance on preventive care- particularly benefiting children and families with limited access to routine medical services.
The Battalion expressed sincere appreciation to the medical team for their dedicated service and reaffirmed its resolve to continue organising similar welfare-oriented programmes in the future.

The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great pride, dignity, and patriotic fervour at 2nd IRBN Battalion Headquarters, Diyun, in the presence of officers, personnel, and students of 2nd IRBN EMW School, Diyun.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Commandant, smt. Swati Singh, IPS, 2nd IRBN, at the Commandant’s Office, followed by salutation to the Tricolour. The ceremony reflected the spirit of unity, discipline, and national integrity.

Subsequently, a series of engaging activities were organised for the students, including sweets race, 100-metre race, musical chairs, and vibrant cultural programmes such as group dance, solo dance, and song performances. The programmes showcased the enthusiasm, talent, and cultural richness of the young participants.

On this auspicious occasion, a farewell programme for the Class V students of 2nd IRBN EMW School was also held. The Commandant Madam addressed the gathering and encouraged the students, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the values enshrined in the Constitution of India. Her address inspired the students to uphold discipline, integrity, and patriotism in their lives.
The celebration concluded on a joyful and inspiring note, leaving a lasting impression of national pride among all present.
