# # # 🇮🇳 Celebrating the Tiranga, Honouring Our Handloom Heroes 🇮🇳

As part of the **Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026**, NEHHDC had the privilege of welcoming three inspiring personalities from Assam’s handloom and entrepreneurial ecosystem to its office:

🔹 **Smt. Runima Chetia Choudhury** – Founder & Proprietor, Pallabi Handoom; a traditional weaver with **40 years of experience** and recipient of the **Kamla Devi Chattopadhyay Sant Kabir Handloom Award** for her invaluable contribution to the development of handlooms.

🔹 **Smt. Jyoti Bhuyan** – **National Handloom Award Recipient** and handloom entrepreneur, known for promoting Assam’s rich weaving heritage through Eri, Muga and traditional Assamese silk products, while empowering local women weavers through skill development and sustainable livelihoods.

🔹 **Shri Jugal Bharali** – Co-founder, **Marvella Associates**, an emerging Assam enterprise built around the pioneering **“Soil to Silk”** concept, connecting traditional silk production, heritage tourism and rural livelihoods while supporting nearly 50–60 weaver families.

Their journeys embody the **spirit of craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, resilience and pride in our cultural heritage**. Their presence added special significance to the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, celebrating not just the national flag, but also the people who keep our rich traditions alive.
