A Joint site visit was conducted on 20 August 2026 for the development of the approach road connecting NH-15 to Bogibeel Terminal, with the District Revenue Officer, EPIL (PMC) and The Design Room (Consultant).
The initiative marks another step towards strengthening last-mile connectivity and enhancing the accessibility and operational efficiency of Bogibeel Terminal.

আভ্যন্তৰীণ জলপথৰ সুৰক্ষা ব্যৱস্থা অধিক শক্তিশালী কৰাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত এক গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ পদক্ষেপ হিচাপে ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় জলপথ - ১৬ ৰ ভাঙা–বদৰপুৰ জলপথ আৰু ভাৰতীয় অন্তৰ্দেশীয় জলপথ প্ৰাধিকৰণ(IWAI)ৰ বদৰপুৰ টাৰ্মিনেলত কেন্দ্ৰীয় ঔদ্যোগিক নিৰাপত্তা বাহিনী (CISF)ৰ বিষয়াসকলৰ এটা দলে এছ.এল. বুঢ়ি দিহিং (SL Burhi Dihing)ৰ সৈতে পৰিদৰ্শন কৰে। উক্ত পৰিদৰ্শন আভ্যন্তৰীণ জলপথ নিৰাপত্তা পৰিকল্পনা প্ৰস্তুতৰ বাবে পৰামৰ্শ সেৱাৰ অংশ হিচাপে সম্পাদন কৰা হয়।
এই পদক্ষেপৰ জৰিয়তে দেশৰ আভ্যন্তৰীণ জলপথসমূহত নিৰাপত্তা আৰু সুৰক্ষা অধিক শক্তিশালী কৰাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত ভাৰতীয় অন্তৰ্দেশীয় জলপথ প্ৰাধিকৰণ (IWAI)ৰ প্ৰতিশ্ৰুতি প্ৰতিফলিত হৈছে।

Strengthening Inland Waterways Security.
A team of CISF officials inspected the Bhanga–Badarpur stretch of NW-16, including the IWAI Badarpur Terminal, along with SL Burhi Dihing, as part of the consultancy service for the preparation of an Inland Waterways Security Plan.
The initiative reflects IWAI’s commitment towards strengthening safety, security and operational preparedness across India’s inland waterways.

৮০ সংখ্যক স্বাধীনতা দিৱস উপলক্ষে যোৱা ১৫ আগষ্ট তাৰিখে গুৱাহাটীত অনুষ্ঠিত ৪ৰ্থ সংস্কৰণৰ ‘ব্ৰহ্মপুত্ৰ কলিং – Open India Quiz’-এ জ্ঞান, ঐতিহ্য আৰু ব্ৰহ্মপুত্ৰ নদীৰ সৈতে থকা আমাৰ আত্মিক সম্পৰ্কক উদযাপন কৰিলে।

‘Brahmaputra Calling 2026’-ৰ ৪ৰ্থ সংস্কৰণে লাভ কৰিলে অভূতপূৰ্ব সঁহাৰি। উত্তৰ-পূৰ্বাঞ্চলৰ লগতে কলকাতা আৰু দিল্লীৰ পৰা মুঠ ১০৩টা দলে আজি অনুষ্ঠিত প্ৰতিযোগিতাত অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰে।

অনুষ্ঠানৰ আৰম্ভণিতে ভাৰতীয় অন্তৰ্দেশীয় জলপথ প্ৰাধিকৰণৰ আঞ্চলিক সঞ্চালক শ্ৰী প্ৰবীণ বড়া ডাঙৰীয়াই উষ্ম আদৰণি ভাষণেৰে প্ৰতিযোগীসকলক স্বাগতম জনায়।

The 4th edition of Brahmaputra Calling 2026 witnessed an overwhelming response, with 103 teams participating from across the North East, Kolkata and Delhi.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Shri Prabin Bora, Director, IWAI Assam, setting the stage for an engaging and inspiring competition.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. (Dr.) Hindol Sengupta, Chief Guest, for his rousing and insightful address that added immense value and inspiration to the occasion.

The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), Regional Office, Pandu, Guwahati, organised a quiz competition among its office staff on 7th August 2026 as part of the 15th Organ Donation Pledge, observed on 3rd August 2026 under the “Jug Jug Jio Abhiyan” initiative.
The programme aimed to create greater awareness about the importance of organ donation and inspire individuals to contribute towards saving and transforming lives.
Through such awareness initiatives, IWAI continues to encourage its employees and the wider community to embrace the noble cause of organ donation and giving the gift of life.
