Every step has the power to inspire change.

On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of Assam, invites citizens to join the Mini Marathon – Run Against Drugs on 26th June 2026.

With this year’s theme, “People First: Stop Stigma and Discrimination, Strengthen Prevention,” the marathon is more than just a race—it’s a collective pledge to stand against substance abuse, promote awareness, and build healthier, stronger communities.

Come together. Run with purpose. Be a part of the movement that says No to Drugs, Yes to Life.

5 Years of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Taking the message of a drug-free future directly to the people, the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment, Assam marked five years of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan through a unique awareness drive using mobile vehicles. Moving through communities and public spaces, these vehicles carried powerful messages, information, and conversations about the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of prevention.

Over the past five years, the campaign has steadily grown into a movement of awareness, responsibility, and collective action. Through this initiative, the Directorate continues to engage youth, families, and communities—reminding everyone that a healthier, safer society begins with awareness and informed choices.

Every stop, every message shared, and every conversation held is a step closer to a drug-free Assam and a stronger India.
