Governor of Assam Rastriya Suraksha Protsahan Yojona
An awareness talk on “Youth Empowerment” and a felicitation programme were organised by 60 Assam Girls BN NCC, Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) on 21 August 2026.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. Pradip Kr. Bhattacharyya, Principal, Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous). The event featured an insightful and thought-provoking address by Brigadier (Retd.) Ranjit Borthakur, who spoke on the topic “Youth Empowerment”, highlighting the vital role of young people in nation-building, leadership and social responsibility.
As part of the programme, a felicitation ceremony was organised to honour Cadet Diksh*ta Chiring (Department of Political Science) for her outstanding achievements. She represented India in Vietnam under the Youth Exchange Programme and was also selected as Best Cadet, securing All India 5th Rank and the DG Medallion during RDC 2026. Cadet Diksh*ta was also felicitated by the Women Cell of Arya Vidyapeeth College during the programme.
The TSC (Thal Sena) cadets—Tvisha Chetia (Department of Economics), Megha Das (Department of Botany), and Borismita Boro (HS)—were also felicitated for their achievements and participation.
The programme was attended by Col. Amar Singh, Commanding Officer, 60 Assam Girls BN NCC, along with ANOs, teachers and NCC cadets from the Army, Navy and Air Force wings representing various colleges and universities.
The event served as an inspiring platform to motivate young cadets towards excellence, leadership, discipline and greater participation in nation-building, while recognising and celebrating their accomplishments in the field of NCC and youth development.
