India Foundation is a New Delhi-based independent think tank that focuses on the issues, challenges and opportunities of the Indian polity. As part of the annual series of seminars and conferences the Foundation organizes India Ideas Conclave that brings together a luminary gathering of policy makers and public intellectuals from India and abroad. Over 350 invited intellectuals including governmen
t leaders, corporate leaders, scholars, journalists, politicians and social activists participate in this important conclave where ideas and opinions are exchanged in a candid and scholarly atmosphere. The first two editions of the conclave saw the participation of scholars from over 25 countries including several Heads of State and other dignitaries. Several White Papers were presented at the conclave by eminent scholars, one of which has subsequently been adopted by the Government of India. The 3rd India Ideas Conclave is scheduled to take place on November 4-6, 2016 at Goa. Invitations are being extended to eminent scholars, CEOs, scientists, academics, writers, journalists, social activists, political leaders, government officials and public intellectuals from India as well as other countries. The central theme of the Conclave is India at 70 – Democracy, Development & Dissent.
