Today, we are filled with immense pride as we celebrate a historic milestone for Gauhati University NCC!

Our very own ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‡๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ๐Š๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ซ ๐Š๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐š, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, has become the FIRST Associate NCC Officer (ANO) from Gauhati University to be commissioned as a Flying Officer in the prestigious NCC Air Wing, Indian Air Force! โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ…
This remarkable achievement, earned through unwavering dedication and excellence, marks a shining moment for the entire GU NCC family and will inspire future generations of cadets.

Dr. Kalita excelled in the rigorous Pre-Commission Training (PRCN), securing an outstanding โ€˜Aโ€™ grade across two phases:
๐Ÿ“… Phase I: Officers Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee (1โ€“20 Sept 2025)
๐Ÿ“… Phase II: Air Force Station (AFS), Tambaram (27 Octโ€“27 Dec 2025)

The proud culmination was the Pipping Ceremony at AFS Tambaram on 26 December 2025, where he was formally commissioned.
As ๐…๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐จ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ซ ๐ƒ๐ซ ๐‡๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ๐Š๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ซ ๐Š๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐š now mentors our cadets, his unique dual role as an academician and commissioned officer perfectly embodies the NCC motto: Unity and Discipline.
