The Dragon Blood Tree, also known as Dracaena cinnabari, is a rare type of tree that is native to the Socotra archipelago in the Indian Ocean. The tree is named after the red sap that it produces, which is said to resemble dragon's blood. The sap has been used for a variety of purposes, including as a dye, medicine, and varnish.
The Dragon Blood Tree

The Dragon Blood Tree is a distinctive-looking tree, with a thick, swollen trunk and branches that spread out like an umbrella. The tree can grow up to 10 meters tall and can live for hundreds of years. The tree is well adapted to the harsh environment of Socotra, which is known for its arid climate and rocky terrain.

In recent years, the Dragon Blood Tree has become a popular tourist attraction on Socotra, with many visitors coming to see its unique appearance and learn about its cultural and medicinal significance. However, the tree is also facing threats from habitat loss and overharvesting of its sap, which has led to conservation efforts to protect this rare and important species.
