Dr. K B Prakash took charge as a Principal,
Government Engineering College. Haveri on 22nd
Nov 2010. He has 27 years of teaching experience
and 2 years of industrial experience. He has
obtained his B.E (Civil Engg) degree from
National Institute of Engineering Mysore and
M.Tech (Structural Engg) & Ph.D degree from
Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. He has
worked in K.L.E Societies College of Engineering
and Technology Belgaum, S.T.J Institute of
Technology Ranebennur and T.K Institute of
Engg. and Tech, Warananagar in various
capacities.
Few of his salient achievements are as follows:
Published around 200 technical papers in
International/National Journals and
proceedings of International/ National
conferences.
Produced 14 Ph.D scholars
Peer reviewer of International Journal-
American Concrete Institute Material Journal
and Indian Concrete Journal
Working in the editorial advisory board of
the technical journal “New Building Materials
and Constructions World”, New Delhi.
Visited Singapore Sharjah, Dubai and
Bahrain to deliver invited talks at various
universities
Member of Board of examinations and Board
of studies at V.T.U Belgaum

Recycling of waste concrete is done to reuse the concrete rubble as aggregates in concrete. The recycled aggregates have less crushing strength, impact resistance, specific gravity and has more absorption value as compared to fresh aggregates.
