Nagaveni, a small food vendor from Karnataka, turned her weekly market stall into a successful daily enterprise.

Through entrepreneurship development training, digital payment adoption and business support provided under the Digital Sakhi, she expanded her vision and built a stronger future for her family.

Her story is a reminder that empowering one entrepreneur can create ripple effects across an entire community.

This transformation was made possible through the L&T Finance Digital Sakhi Project, empowering women entrepreneurs through digital and financial inclusion.

What happens when two organizations working for women's empowerment come together?

New opportunities are created.
New markets are explored.
And new possibilities emerge for women artisans.

Recently, Ms. Vineeta, Design Consultant and Ms. Chandrika, Procurement & Production team member from Self Employed Women's Association-SEWA , visited Access Livelihoods to explore the procurement of Creyo handloom products crafted by our women artisans.

This visit marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between two organizations united by a shared purpose - creating stronger economic opportunities for women.

For decades, both SEWA and Access Livelihoods have worked alongside women to build livelihoods, strengthen entrepreneurship and foster economic independence.

Because behind every handcrafted product is a woman building a future for herself and her family. Strong collaborations help ensure that her skills find the markets they deserve.

Together, we can create stronger ecosystems, wider market access, and brighter futures for women artisans across India.

When awareness reaches communities, opportunities follow.

Under the "Know Your Money" Program, awareness camps on Financial Literacy and Social Security Schemes were conducted for MGNREGA card holders across villages in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana - helping participants understand digital finance, fraud prevention, financial planning, insurance and pension schemes.

This initiative, supported by HDFC securities, is contributing towards stronger financial inclusion and awareness at the community level.

More than just sessions, these camps became conversations about security, confidence and a better future for rural families.

A review session can sometimes become much more than a review.

On 01 May 2026, G. V. Krishnagopal, CEO, Access Livelihoods, joined the Half-Yearly Review of SBI Fellowship fellows at the State Bank Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad. The fellows shared their six-month journey, the work they have done with communities, and the insights they gathered from the field.

Reflecting on the engagement, G. V. Krishnagopal said:
“SBI has designed its fellowship with a unique focus on community development. While many fellowship programmes are centred around teaching and education, SBI’s approach is deeply rooted in working with communities. This strongly aligns with our mission and vision at Access Livelihoods, as we too work closely with communities for their betterment and development.”

With 20–25 fellows presenting their experiences and Gyan Prakash, Program Head, facilitating from the SBI side, the session became highly interactive and meaningful.

A heartfelt thanks to the State Bank Institute of Rural Development (SBIRD), Hyderabad, for organising this enriching and collaborative platform, and to Gyan Prakash, Program Head, for thoughtfully facilitating the session and enabling a meaningful space for reflection, learning, and exchange.

Did you know that the Creyo Finance App can help women record income, track household expenses, plan savings and make better financial decisions?

With support from HDFC securities, Access Livelihoods is using Creyo as part of the "Know Your Money" - Digital Financial Inclusion Programme across 160 villages with 160 Pragati Sakhis.

Through household visits and community sessions, Pragati Sakhis are helping village women, their families and women entrepreneurs understand budgeting, savings, digital banking, insurance, government schemes, debt management and fraud prevention.

The programme has already reached 7,350 community members through 2,714 household visits in FY 26-27, making financial learning practical in everyday life.
