Urgent Demand for Enquiry
Hon’ble Union Minister and National President, RPI, Shri Ramdas Athawale has given a written letter to Hon’ble Home Minister of India, Shri Amit Shah demanding an immediate enquiry.
The demand is regarding the *18th Punjab Regiment* posted at *Kanto Sabal*.
It is reported that some Meitei houses were burnt in front of them.
Their camp is located just very near to the place where the incident took place.
Question: How is it possible that houses were burnt right under their watch?
When people are living in fear and in relief camps, the primary duty of deployed forces is to protect life and property.
If they fail in that duty, an immediate and transparent enquiry must be done to fix responsibility.
We thank Sir Ramdas Athawale for raising the voice of the people at the national level.
We appeal to the Home Ministry to take urgent action and ensure such lapses do not happen again.
