Awareness/Sensitization & Interaction Programmes on Substance Abuse Prevention were successfully conducted at Utlou High School and Bishnupur High School, Bishnupur, as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Action Plan.

The Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur, today inaugurated the 90-Day Residential Skill Development Training Programme for Persons with Disabilities under the CMST Scheme 2025–26 at CIPET, Imphal.
The programme is designed to equip participants with industry-relevant vocational skills, enhance their employability, and promote self-reliance and economic empowerment through hands-on training in a supportive residential environment.

PAN-RESCUE AND REHABILITATION CAMPAIGN 4.0 against child labour was launched today by DCPU Noney. The campaign was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, Noney, who is also the Chairperson of the District Task Force (DTF).

As part of the launch, an awareness poster campaign and field drive were conducted at tea stalls, eateries, workshops, markets, and other vulnerable areas to spread awareness on child labour and child protection.

The campaign will continue until 31st August, with the aim of ensuring the rescue, rehabilitation, and protection of every child.

After an elderly woman was rescued from an inhumane situation by the SAKHI One Stop Centre, Churachandpur, the Social Welfare Department extended continued support by providing a wheelchair and essential items to aid her recovery.

Now receiving proper care in a safe environment, her condition continues to improve—reflecting the importance of timely intervention and sustained support for those in distress.
