Clean Indore Initiative

Clean Indore Initiative We are a bunch of people who happen to be concerned for cleanliness who decided to take some action rather than just talk about it. We are doing our BIT!

Who are we? We are a bunch of people tempted by the idea of potentially clean, green and hygienic places. Our goal is to motivate people of our town to STOP LITTERING and START CLEANING . Our goal is simple, to clean up a dirty place. Sharing complaints about gross, unhygienic conditions in the city to the mayor, the municipality, the head of the colony, with fellow morning- walkers, over chai, in

traffic, at parks, with colleagues and our bais (and in countless other situations) only serves to multiply the garbage. Do your bit. DO something about it. We are a group of people committed to just that. An attempt to contribute towards a healthy, wholesome environment. (Of the people, By the people, For the people). Couldn’t resist.

PM Modi's initiative! Hats off to our amazing prime Minister.

Modi said he was not born to sit on a chair of high office. Whatever he had, family, home... he left it for the nation.

As reported by The Times of India: "Inspired by Bengaluru's 'Ugly Indian' group, this team of three grew to 70 members in just four months. Talking about the over-whelming support from fellow Indoreans, Chitra says, "One thing that our group has realised is that Indoreans do not wish to be a part of dirt. But unfortunately, they are hesitant and embarrassed to clean their neighbourhood." The mission of the group is simple — to change the archaic mindset of city folks that it's not their responsibility to clean someone else's muck."

Chitra Bhargav, Deeksha Shriwas and Rahul Sharma, Indore youngsters under the age of 23, were tired of witnessing dirt, litter and garbage making their city ugly. So, instead of just lamenting the state of affairs and walking away, they formed the Clean Indore Initiative (CII) in January this year.

Big clean Part 2 was indeed bigger and better! With so many obstacles- rain, water clogging, no municipality support, no dumper, no JCB, we yet did it! Ofcourse we were flooded with mixed reactions from a retired Army person who felt it was worthless thing to do to a very old man who cried his emotions out for 'Youth generation' bringing about a change in the country, we saw it all today! Kudos to everyone who was a part of this Big clean!
